D-Link Nuclias Connect AC1200 Wave 2 Wall-Plate access point is useful for setting up or extending a wireless network to connect multiple devices. It emits a signal in two frequencies, 2.4 & 5GHz. It offers higher speeds compared to single bands and connection of more devices. The 2.4Ghz frequency is the most common and has a wide range. 5Ghz provides higher speeds than 2.4Ghz but is more sensitive to obstacles (eg walls) that reduce its range. This difference but also its more limited use helps it to have less interference from other networks. The repeater can deliver up to 1200Mbps in total to the devices connected to it. In practice, the actual speed shared on the devices is closer to 200Mbps.
